Mini Pilgrimage

Description: This experience begins with a guided introduction to the temple by the priest, who shares insights into the history of Buddhism, the temple’s origins, and the role of pilgrimage in Japanese spiritual practice. You will then take part in a small hiking course around the “Small-Scale Shikoku 88 Places Pilgrimage,” a gentle 20-minute loop that features 88 Buddhist stone monuments along the path. Walking this symbolic pilgrimage allows you to explore the temple grounds more deeply while reflecting at each sacred point.

This quiet journey blends light walking, spiritual learning, and contemplation—offering a rare chance to slow down, reconnect, and experience living Buddhist culture in rural Japan.
