Local Sushi Making Class

Description: Futomaki Festival Sushi is a traditional local cuisine proudly passed down in Chiba Prefecture. This colorful rolled sushi is not only meant to be eaten, but also enjoyed for its beautiful patterns revealed when sliced.

In Kamogawa, a historic rice-growing area, this experience uses Nagasa rice, once known as a premium rice presented to the Imperial Household, along with fresh local vegetables and eggs. Guided by local experts, you will carefully roll your own futomaki, learning techniques that have been preserved to celebrate seasonal festivals and family gatherings.

Each roll is made with care and creativity, making the process fun to roll, exciting to see, and delicious to taste. A variety of designs are available—each with its own story and charm.
